Visual Receipts
Vodacom Comms
As part of Vodacom's internal communications initiatives, I contribute to the One Spirit project — a quarterly digital publication that celebrates company culture, employee stories, and strategic updates.
Working closely with our in-house editor and key accounts team, I help brainstorm and develop visual concepts that align with Vodacom’s brand tone and messaging objectives. Each quarter, we successfully roll out a new issue of One Spirit, delivering engaging and on-brand content to internal stakeholders.
Once approved, I upload and format the publication using WordPress, applying the AnyMag theme and Elementor plugin to ensure responsive design and optimal readability across devices.
Following each issue launch, I create and schedule weekly marketing materials — including digital banners, teaser graphics, and call-to-action visuals — to boost engagement and drive traffic to the publication throughout the quarter.
Supersport Comms
I am responsible for the visual design and layout of Team Talk, a dynamic bi-weekly internal mailer that keeps employees informed and inspired through sport.
Each edition of Team Talk features a vibrant mix of content, including: Upcoming sporting events, A spotlight on the history of sport, Athlete birthdays, Major wins and milestones, Man of the Match highlights, An inspiring Quote of the Week.
Working in close collaboration with the internal editor, I help craft and visually interpret the content, ensuring every issue is both informative and engaging. I bring each concept to life through carefully curated imagery, layout design, and brand-consistent visuals.
Once finalized, using Evelytics to publish and distribute the mailer, making sure that the final output is polished, accessible, and visually aligned with the SuperSport identity.
AfroCentric Comms
I play a key role in the design and development of AfroScenes' digital magazine — a project that requires creativity, adaptability, and technical precision due to the strict IT security protocols in place.
The website is built behind highly restrictive firewalls, which posed unique challenges in access, testing, and deployment. Despite these limitations, I successfully collaborate with the IT team to ensure the platform remains visually engaging, user-friendly and secure, delivering a digital product that meets both design standards and cybersecurity requirements.
I also support the magazine with weekly marketing material — designing engaging promotional content as well as I lead the design of AfroCentric in Action, AfroCentric's print CSI publication, which highlights the company’s impact through corporate social investment.
AbInBev Comms
Creating dynamic video visual content that bring internal campaigns to life. Editing videos, designing custom GIFs, and crafting motion-based content that aligns with the brand’s tone and internal engagement goals. Working closely with the communications team by helping transform key messages into visually compelling stories.
Via Afrika
As alead designer for Via Afrika’s WPR (Write Publish Read) initiative—an innovative project by Media24 aimed at supporting African language authors in self-publishing—I played a key role in shaping the visual identity and marketing presence of the initiative.
Over the course of four years as an in-house team member, and continuing as a trusted freelancer thereafter, I was responsible for a wide range of creative deliverables tailored to empower and elevate emerging African-language writers. My work included:
Book Cover Design: Crafting visually compelling, culturally resonant book covers that reflect each author's voice and genre, helping their work stand out in a competitive market.
Marketing Collateral: Designing a variety of print and digital materials such as posters, banners, and billboards to promote the WPR initiative and its authors.
Social Media Content: Creating engaging visuals and campaign content to amplify awareness, build community engagement, and support authors’ reach on digital platforms.
This role allowed me to contribute meaningfully to a culturally significant initiative, while sharpening my design skills in both print and digital media. It also deepened my understanding of the self-publishing landscape in South Africa, particularly for underrepresented languages and voices.
Exposure Marketing
At the start of my design career, I worked on Milestones magazine at Exposure Marketing as a Junior Graphic Designer. This role was a pivotal learning experience, where I gained hands-on knowledge in layout design and event-focused marketing. I contributed to the visual development of the magazine and supported the creation of marketing materials for The Baby Expo—South Africa’s largest baby and parenting exhibition. This early experience sparked my passion for impactful, audience-driven design.
